Play Misty are a folk / Americana trio based in Bristol and Cardiff, UK.
Luscious, warm three-part harmonies, intertwining acoustic guitars and soaring flute – a modern take on iconic folk sounds like CSNY and Bonnie Raitt. Their debut EP, At The Cube, has been supported by BBC Introducing and Arts Council England among others.

How it all started
We first came together in the Summer of 2022 when a band that Nina and Ryan played in booked a gig at the Bath Abbey.
The band leader became unavailable on the date and we didn’t want to give up the opportunity to play at such a magnificent venue! We decided to invite Sophie – who at the time fronted Sugarmoon with Ryan – to join us for this gig.
Within just a couple of practices we prepared a set full of three part harmonies and beautiful flute and guitar solos. We realised that we’d created something special and after a very successful gig at the Abbey we decided to keep working together.
